How does this affect Type II, if at all?

Zap

I don't know, and I should, because I am "pre" type II. I'll try to find a little better info. Duck and dolfan, from that forum we know, seem to have a little more background than I do. More to come.

The other day( this month, March 2005) there was a short blurb on the news that said they had found a "Cure" for diabetes...then nothing.

The same thing happened when there was an announcement that they had found a cure for leprosy...they did but its not a cure that is P.C. in the United States.
The cure for leprosy is Thilodomide ( I may have spelled that wrong )
Could it be that the Drug loby is so strong here in this country that they could supress a cure?
(Just think about how much money we are worth to them every year, I'm still diet controlled but the cost of my testing supplies alone is huge, my Father is now Insulin dependant and his costs are staggering ( thank heaven for some insurance coverage ) Curing Diabetes would cost the Pharmacutical industry Millions perhaps Billions of Dollars a YEAR.
I hunted and hunted and finally found the information on leprosy after they announced the cure and then suddenly shut up. ( I was interested as I know someone who lost a relative to it a few years ago. I was really angered to find that this particular cure had been known and used in other countries for several years but it was not even mentioned to the young man who died because the drug is illegal in this country by virtue of its having caused all those birth defects so many years ago when used to prevent morning sickness.
People died because of that hush up effort,( not many as the U S has few people who develop Leprosy but even one was too many ) and it wasn't even motivated by the money monster.
If this is another cover up, and is powered by greed we are the people who may die because of it. Did anyone else see this short blurb? and if so have you been able to find any more information?
